Cute Little Clown

I think this outfit makes her look like a clown...a cute clown of course. And yes, that is a hairclip in her hair. I clipped it onto the 2 longest hairs on her head and it managed to stay in somehow. Apparently in the second picture she decided to strike a pose...

Ole Johnny Boy

Well, we busted out the Johnny Jumper yesterday, and it seems to have gotten two baby thumbs up. She was a little startled as Matt was showing her how it bounces up and down, but overall I think she likes hanging from a doorway...




Sorry for the poor quality of this picture...in my parental panic of trying to catch this moment, I didn't close the blinds...anyway, if you can't tell, Megan is laughing very hard. It's only the second time we've gotten her to belly laugh like this, and I'll just tell you, it's very cute...



And, lastly, here is one of her favorite positions these days...her left fist, straight in the air. Most of the time, she'll stick it up in the air and leave it there, gazing longingly at it in seeming disbelief that it's attached to her and that yes, she does get to keep it. Other things to notice in this one: her hair is starting to stick straight up, and she's getting close to finding her toes. She is searching hard for them, and has gotten as far as the knees, so although this is very cute, it makes diaper changing, well, exciting let's say...



Oh, and for those of you who are still waiting on that diaper review...she exploded out of the HEB diaper yesterday. So, I think I've sacrificed enough for all of us...the bottom line--just get Pampers.

Baby Bjorn

This is Megan's first time in the Baby Bjorn facing forward. She seemed to like it, although the "one size fits all" doesn't seem to take into account the amount of rolls that have accumulated on her thighs...so, she might not fit in it in a few more weeks, we'll see.
I'll give you three guesses as to what Matt is laughing about...yes, that's right, she is FILLING her diaper as I'm taking this picture. Luckily, she was wearing a Pampers diaper, so there was no leakage...




You'd never know by looking at her that she's sitting in what turned out to be a very full diaper...

Diaper Experiment

I decided we should try a diaper experiment and see if our Pampers brand is really superior to the other brands. We bought a package of LUVS and a package of HEB brand. Megan has been wearing the LUVS the last few days, and we have had 2 major explosions all the way up the back, which has not ever happened with the Pampers. As of yet, I can't comment on the HEB brand, but I have come up with a new slogan for LUVS.

A big weekend

Things that happened this weekend:
-turned 3 months old
-laughed out loud for the first time
-reached for a toy for the first time
-had a blow out diaper at church (and of course we didn't bring a change of clothes that time...)
-slept through the night (waking up at 4 am counts as "all night")
-wore mittens
-created a new fashion trend--buttoning the onesie outside of the pants
